More Than A Nest

Imagine a bird’s nest.

If you’re like me, you thought of a plain brown nest made of twigs and sticks. Now imagine a nest adorned with pebbles, shells, and flowers. It has a grand entrance, even a foyer. Did I mention it’s color-coordinated? This is the nest of a bowerbird. He meticulously prunes his nest with excellence which makes other bird’s nests look like Homer Simpson helped his son Bart with a science project. To create such a beautiful centerpiece it takes compassion, talent, dedication, and time… and this is just a simple bird’s nest.

What You Can Expect

We should meet at least once a year to make sure your strategy is in sync with your goals. About two months ahead, Jessika will connect with you to find a time that best works for you to meet with Kathy or Eric. This time allows us to gather the necessary details so that when you meet with our team you’ll find it very productive.

Preparing for Your Meeting

What comes next is very important. Take some time to think about what is important to you. We find this exercise helpful to visualize your ideal retirement.

Close your eyes and imagine retirement at perfection.

Now, describe it in as much detail as you possibly can. Where are you? Who are you with? What are you doing? We want to understand your vision of success. As soon as you schedule your meeting our team starts working on preparing for our conversation. About a week before your appointment Eric or Kathy will connect with you over the phone. This is another central part of our process. This conversation ensures that our team is well prepared for your upcoming meeting.

You are one-of-a-kind, shouldn’t your financial strategy be one-of-a-kind too?

This is your quality time. We personalize each of our meetings and conversations to your unique scenario and offer solutions tailored to help accomplish your goals.  First, we will spend time clearly defining your goals. Then we will go over your personalized strategy on how we plan to help you accomplish them. Finally, we will create an action list that we will share with you soon after your meeting.

 

I’m sure other birds think the bowerbird is crazy to put so much effort into his nest. His necessity for excellence results in a beautiful home. To some, our process may seem a bit excessive, repetitive, or even superfluous. It is the foundation for us to help you build your own sanctuary.
