David Jimmerson

David Jimmerson is authentic, kind-hearted, and loves helping people. He’s a natural fit with Ellis and Company Retirement Strategists. David’s goal is to help as many people as he possibly can achieve their financial goals. He aims to help clients have financial security so that they retire confident.

David graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. While attending school there, he qualified for the Dean’s List seven semesters, achieved academic membership into the Golden Key National Honor Society, earned academic membership into the Alpha Phi Sigma Honor Society, and was an active member in the Tennessee of Chattanooga’s Criminal Justice Club. David met his wife, Sara, at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. They married on September 5, 2015. Through their careers after college, they have lived in Memphis, Phoenix, and now call Clarksville home. David and Sara have a beautiful 3 year old daughter, Ellis Elizabeth Jimmerson and a handsome 1 year old son, Daniel Scott.

He joined our team in January, 2020 after working in Memphis with Raymond James’ regional office in the Operations Department, where he was an Operations Supervisor. He brings to our team nearly a decade of experience in financial services and a valuable unique perspective. Prior to Raymond James, David worked at MassMutual. Initially, he was a retirement specialist there and then went on to become a Director in the Retirement Services department.

David Jimmerson is originally from Knoxville, Tennessee so he roots on the Tennessee Volunteer football program every year once Fall rolls around. He enjoys being active outdoors. Some of his favorite hobbies are hiking, swimming, and taking in some fresh air any chance he gets. He also loves going to museums, creative writing, and traveling to new places.

David holds Series 7, Series 6, Series 9, Series 10, Series 26, and Series 63 licenses.
