Tether Wingate
Client Service Manager
Tether graduated from Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, MI, and earned her Bachelor of Business Administration with a Marketing major. While at Grand Valley, Tether played volleyball and was part of the first team in school history to qualify for the National Championship. After graduating, she continued to work in higher education in the Athletic Department as an Advisor to Student-Athletes. Her love for the beach led her to Destin, FL where she met her husband Eric, a Green Beret with 5th Special Forces Group. The Army has moved them from Georgia to Tennessee to North Carolina, and they are excited to call Clarksville home. They have two beautiful children, Blakely (7) and Hudson (4).
Tether joins Ellis & Company after working for Ameriprise as a Client Relationship Manager for 7 years. Before Ameriprise, she worked as a Private Banker for banks in Destin and Nashville. She is excited to put her experience in the financial services industry to good work with Ellis & Company. Tether enjoys getting to know our clients and helping them achieve financial security so that they can retire with confidence.
In her spare time, Tether loves spending time with her family and making memories. In the summer, they travel up north to Michigan for a week at the lake with aunts, uncles, and cousins. When she’s not chasing her kids around, Tether loves staying in shape with her Peloton and getting outside as much as possible.
